Windows did not recognise the digital signature of the driver offered by Acer and was unable to install the drivers. To do this, go to the settings and then there should be a function in the "Restore" window to start Windows in extended startup mode. The PC will then restart and show several functions that can be deactivated (including signature verification). After deactivating this function and then restarting, the Acer driver can be installed and the monitor will then display the brightness and HDR correctly.
