This SMD LED assortment features very bright surface-mounted diodes in the 1206 package size, offering a wide range of colors and is well-organized. Due to the small size of these diodes, approximately 3.2 x 1.6 x 1.1 mm, manual processing can be challenging, often leading to mechanical damage or thermal failure. Therefore, small wires of 30 cm length have been professionally attached to both the anode and cathode in advance. This combines the advantages of SMD LEDs with those of wired versions. They are excellently suited for model railroads, model building (aircraft models, RC boats and cars), signal lamps and indicators, or any other application where compact LEDs are required. It is important to note that, as with all conventional LED chips, a current limiting resistor or a constant current source should be used depending on the supply voltage to operate the high-quality LED within its permissible working range. The red wire indicates the anode (+) and the black wire indicates the cathode (-). A brief description of the included components is clearly printed on the inside of the lid.
