This practical rotary sensor is perfect for capturing an absolute position. These quality sensors are often used in the automotive industry, for example, to detect seat positions. The sensor is read analogously with the Arduino. This means that once 360° is reached, you have the maximum value on the analog input, and then the value returns to 0. Therefore, the sensor is also suitable for determining the starting position of a stepper motor or the position of an axis. It should be noted that the measurement range is a maximum of 333°. Thus, you will not be able to assign 27° since the value will display 0.
