The 8-channel I2C multiplexer TCA9548A from Purecrea allows multiple I2C sensors with identical addresses to be connected and operated with a microcontroller. This is particularly useful in applications where multiple sensors need to be used simultaneously without address conflicts. The multiplexer supports an operating voltage of 1.65 to 5.5 volts and offers a standard I2C address of 0x70, which can be configured in the range of 0x70 to 0x71.
