The OMNI-496 is an omnidirectional dual-band Wi-Fi antenna developed by Poynting Antennas. The antenna can be connected to any Wi-Fi access point, whether it uses older Wi-Fi technology or the new dual-band 802.11ac-capable Wi-Fi technology. It can enhance channel saturation and provide the highest level of Wi-Fi performance and flexibility. The OMNI-496 is an IP68 marine version of its counterpart for urban, industrial, and commercial use, the OMNI-296. The antenna operates in two frequency bands at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, offering excellent utilization of the radio spectrum. It has a maximum gain of 6 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 7.5 dBi in the 5 GHz band, ensuring optimal performance with reliable connections. The antenna features an N-type socket at its base, which can be connected to a cable of the desired type and length.
