The HELI-4-IS is a high-gain unidirectional antenna that complements our Wi-Fi MinePoynt tunnel and mining antennas. The combination of MinePoynt beam antennas for long-range connections through tunnels with this directional antenna leverages Poynting's fifteen years of experience in developing and manufacturing antennas for data networks in underground mining. This antenna is also suitable for oil/gas chemical environments where intrinsically safe devices are required. The tunnel antenna is the ideal solution for wireless 2.4 - 2.5 GHz applications in tunnels. Tests have shown that this antenna achieves both a higher data rate and a greater range than linear polarized panel antennas with the same gain. The robust construction of this antenna makes it perfect for use in mining. With the HELI-4-IS, you get a cost-effective network infrastructure for current voice and data requirements in mines and tunnels.
