Product details

Pico Unicorn Pack with 112 RGB LEDs

A sparkling matrix with over a hundred fantastic RGB LEDs for all your rainbow needs and some handy buttons - perfectly sized for the Raspberry Pi Pico!

Pimoroni has scaled down its well-known Unicorn setup to fit nicely on the back of the Pico. With a neat 7x16 matrix (that’s 112 RGB LEDs!), it’s certainly the fanciest backpack around. The four tactile buttons can be used to switch between modes, as controls for simple games, or to adjust brightness.

It is possible to control the color and brightness of each LED individually, allowing you to display animations, text, simple images, and more. Create a mini photo FX lamp, a smart status light for Zoom, use it to show colorful scrolling messages on your fridge, or simply enjoy some pretty animations.

Note: A Raspberry Pi Pico is not included.

Your Pico must be equipped with header pins (with the pins facing down) to connect to add-on boards.

  • 16x7 matrix of RGB LEDs (112 in total)
  • Individual color/brightness control for each LED
  • 4x tactile buttons
  • Pre-soldered header pins for connection to Pico
  • Compatible with Raspberry Pi Pico
  • Fully assembled
  • No soldering required (as long as your Pico is equipped with header pins)
  • Dimensions: Approximately 62 x 25 x 10 mm (L x W x H, including headers and buttons)
  • C/C++ and MicroPython libraries.
