SHIMs (Shove Hardware in the Middle) are a new line of boards that are small, affordable, and handy. They are only 1 mm thick (the bare board, without mounted components) and designed to be soldered directly onto the GPIO pins of your Pi if desired, allowing you to use them with HATs and pHATs on top.
Simply plug your micro-USB power supply into the micro-B port on the OnOff SHIM and then press the button once to turn on the power and boot your Pi. After installing the software, you can press the button again to initiate a clean shutdown and completely cut off power to your Pi.
