The Mercury Electra SSDs feature the latest technology in Flash NAND and controllers, utilizing SLC and 3D NAND for long-lasting, energy-efficient performance. They provide a powerful combination of performance and reliability for demanding computer users in everyday scenarios.

The Mercury SSD series includes global wear-leveling algorithms that automatically distribute data evenly and manage the program/erase count to maximize the SSD's lifespan. Static Data Refresh manages free space by gradually updating data across the SSD over time, preventing data corruption. The hardware BCH ECC corrects errors up to 66 bits/1KB for superior data storage and drive longevity. S.M.A.R.T and TRIM command support are also included, along with benefits in standby operation to extend battery life for laptop users.

This 3G SATA SSD offers fast, reliable performance. It functions as an internal hard drive upgrade and in bus-powered or self-powered external enclosures (any Mac, PC, or enclosure that supports 2.5" SATA drives must support the 7mm drive height).

With sequential read speeds of up to 272MB/s and random read speeds of up to 84K IOPS, the OWC Mercury Electra 3G SSD series delivers unbeatable performance, backed by a 3-year OWC warranty.
