Product details

Tame your hissing high-performance amplifier or dampen your array of effect pedals with this brilliant pedal. If you're addicted to the essential juice of a high-performance amplifier or a series of effect pedals, you need this pedal. Because along with your hot-wired sounds, you're likely to get a generous dose of noise as well. Equipped with three selectable types of noise suppression – Hiss, Mid, and Full – the Smart Gate bites into hissing sounds and hum, yet allows the smallest details of your playing to come through. With its amazing ability to accurately detect when and how quickly to activate, this little genius will never get in your way, allowing you to extract every last drop of sustain from that chord without interruption.

Originally designed by Scholz Research and Development, the Smart Gate has been fully updated with a hardwire bypass, a precise threshold trigger, and a new, cleaner circuit. Whether open or closed, it adds virtually nothing to your signal. We've also downsized it from half-rack size to a sleek effect pedal, leaving plenty of room for your newly tamed effects.

Power supply: Single 9-volt battery or Dunlop ECB-003 AC adapter.

Controls: Footswitch turns effect on/bypass (red LED indicates it is on). The Trigger Level knob allows adjustment of the gate's threshold. The three-position switch selects the type of noise suppression: Hiss, Mid Range, or Full. Gate LED indicates the degree of noise suppression.
