CAT6 cables provide a convenient and reliable connection from a network device, such as a switch, modem, or router, to another device or to the overall infrastructure via a patch panel, keystone jack, or wall outlet. These cables are also commonly used in small offices as well as in home networking and entertainment applications. They are tested up to 250 MHz (CAT6 standard) and are backward compatible with CAT5e and CAT5 cables. They are designed with a locking mechanism that prevents the connector from being damaged when installing the cable in tight spaces.
