CAT6 cables provide a convenient and reliable connection from one network device, such as a switch, modem, or router, to another or to the overall infrastructure via a patch panel, keystone jack, or wall outlet. This cable is also commonly used in small office and home networks as well as in entertainment applications. These cables are tested up to 250 MHz (CAT6 standard) and are backward compatible with CAT5e and CAT5 cables. They are manufactured with a locking mechanism that prevents the connector from being damaged when installing the cable in tight spaces. Additionally, this cable is made with shielding that protects against electromagnetic interference (EMI). EMI can cause crosstalk between circuits, leading to data degradation, increased errors, and slower transmission rates. However, by using this shielded cable, you can avoid this issue.
