M5Stack TVOC/eCO2 Gas Sensor

The TVOC eCO2 Unit is a digital multi-gas sensor featuring an integrated SGP30 from Sensirion. It primarily measures various volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hydrogen (H2) in the air. The sensor can be programmed to measure TVOC (total volatile organic compounds) and eCO2 (equivalent carbon dioxide measurement) to assess indoor air quality. The typical measurement accuracy is 15% within the measurement range. The SGP30 measurement is internally calibrated, ensuring long-term stability. The SGP30 uses the I2C communication protocol. To obtain an accurate result, the sensor must be calibrated against a known measurement source. Since eCO2 is calculated based on H2 concentration, it cannot fully replace pure CO2 sensors.
