Product details
The Lindy USB 3.1 Active Extension uses active electronics to extend the cable length of a USB 3.1 device by 5 meters. It continues to support data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbit/s. The USB 3.1 Active Extension features a twist-resistant USB Type C connector and a USB Type A socket, allowing the connection of devices with USB Type A plugs, such as flash drives, cameras, or smartphones, at a greater distance of 5 meters without reducing the data transfer rate.
The USB 3.1 Active Extension is ideal for use with a permanently installed webcam in a meeting room or when repeated access to a device is difficult. The Lindy USB 3.1 Active Extension is compatible with computers that have a USB 3.1 Type C or Thunderbolt 3 port, making it the perfect extension tool for newer laptops, MacBooks, and PCs with a USB Type C connection.
The Lindy USB 3.1 Active Extension is powered via the USB bus but also features a DC socket for connecting an external power supply (not included) for devices with high power requirements.
