A unique feature of the E2000 connector is a small flap that protects the user from escaping laser beams and the fiber end from dirt and damage. The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for singlemode and multimode applications and is known for its low insertion loss. It is one of the most common types of fiber optic connectors. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic cable. Due to its compact design, the LC connector allows for high packing density, making it frequently used in fiber optic switches.
