The KALEA-INFORMATIQUE metal enclosure for SAS hard drives offers a robust solution for connecting SAS SSDs with SFF-8482 connectors to computers via USB interface. This durable metal case supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SAS drives with SFF-8482 connectors and accommodates storage capacities of up to 18 TB. The enclosure features hot-swap capability, allowing drives to be installed and removed without shutting down the system. Connectivity is provided via a USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 interface with a 10 Gbit/s connection speed, including cables for USB Type-A and Type-C connections. The device achieves 6 Gbit/s transfer speeds for SAS-6G drives when connected to USB 3.1 or higher ports, while maintaining 5 Gbit/s speeds with USB 3.0 connections. Power is supplied through an external 12V 2A power adapter, ensuring stable operation for demanding SAS drives.
