Product details

This adapter serves as a port doubler for structured twisted pair cabling. Since only two wire pairs are used for a 10/100 Mbit LAN connection (1-2 and 3-6), but an RJ45 port in the socket is usually occupied with all four wire pairs, cable sharing can be utilized with this adapter. Thus, two network cables can be combined into one. With a second adapter at the other end of the doubly occupied cable, the signals are distributed again to two ports. This means that two adapters are required for this connection.
