Product details

The external RAID enclosure offers space for a total of eight SATA I/II/III hard drives or SSDs. It is primarily made of aluminum, providing stability and excellent heat dissipation. The cooling of the drives is further enhanced by two temperature-controlled 80 mm fans on the rear side and corresponding air inlets underneath the drive bays on the front. The door of the case is lockable.

The display of the RAID system features various LEDs that indicate operation, fan status, interfaces, hard disk usage, access, and errors (RAID). The available RAID levels 0 (striping), 10, 5, 50, and BIG (spanning) cover a wide range of applications, making the RAID system suitable for any situation. Additional external interfaces include USB 3.0 and eSATA, allowing for the use of hard disks without capacity restrictions.

The RAID enclosure also includes several convenient functions such as carrierless hard disk installation and an energy-saving standby mode. It features an Auto Rebuilding function, which automatically adds new hard disks to the RAID array, as well as hot-swap capability, Plug & Play support, and compatibility with both Windows and Mac systems.

For users with lower requirements for a file system, the JBOD enclosure ICY BOX IB-3680SU3 is the ideal solution. It supports the JBOD file system instead of various RAID levels, making it suitable for pure data storage.
