I-tec MySafe USB-C/USB-A 2x M.2 SATA Drive is an external enclosure for up to two M.2 B-Key SATA-based SSDs, which you can connect to your computer, laptop, or tablet via a USB-C or USB 3.0 interface (USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB 3.0 cables are included). The USB connection allows for fast and easy data transfer: up to 10 Gbit/s via USB-C and up to 5 Gbit/s via USB 3.0. The USB-C interface is compatible with Thunderbolt 3. The sturdy aluminum frame provides efficient heat dissipation and M.2 protection.

One of the main advantages of this enclosure is the RAID support, which allows you to choose between high data security or fast data transfer depending on the configuration. It is also possible to create a large logical unit from two drives. The following RAID settings are available (when two drives are installed):

RAID 0: fast data transfer (the RAID controller combines two equally sized drives into one logical drive. While one drive is busy storing a data block, the data block and write process are distributed across multiple drives.)

RAID 1: high data security (here, the RAID controller writes data simultaneously to two drives, so that in the event of a drive failure, a 1:1 copy of your data is always available on the second drive.)

JBOD/Standalone: the system displays two separate drives.

JB=D/Spanning: the system displays one drive (capacity is the sum of both drives).
