The bidirectional Ethernet adapter from HP, with a possible cabling length of up to 100 meters, allows for data transfer of up to 10 GB per second in one direction and bidirectionally up to 40 GB per second. It features two port connections that can both be operated simultaneously with the same performance.

The adapter is designed to have low energy consumption and can also regulate the energy consumption of the connected server. The network ports are the only connection option for the adapter; it is not compatible with USB, Ethernet AUI, and PoE.
