The HOYA HRT circular polariser filter allows up to 25% more light to pass through the polarising film and gives the photographer approximately 1/3 more light than a standard circular polariser. This new polarising film is also used in the latest HD LCD televisions. UV-ABSORBING The glass of the HOYA HRT filter also has UV-absorbing properties, making the HRT a combined UV / circular polarising filter. The most common use for a circular polariser is to look for dark blue skies in outdoor photography. However, they can also reduce or eliminate reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as glass and water. By turning the outer ring, the filter can be seen through the viewfinder.
