Product details

A detachable flash with a powerful output that also enables wireless controls is now available to support customers. In addition to and in combination with its cameras and lenses, the EF-60 will assist GFX/X-series customers in the challenge of enhancing their creative work with light. This speedlight offers impressive performance despite its compact form factor, with a maximum guide number of 60 (ISO100-m and flash coverage set to 200 mm). It is portable yet delivers ample power, making it easy to adapt to all shooting conditions. Its head can be manually tilted 90 degrees upward or rotated 180 degrees left or right, allowing the flash to bounce off a wall or ceiling to create natural light and avoid harsh shadows.

The flash range extends from 24 mm to 200 mm and can be expanded to approximately 16 mm when using the built-in diffuser. It also features an auto-zoom function that adjusts the flash range according to the angle of view of the mounted lens. This function prevents light fall-off at the edges and insufficient overall illumination while achieving a light distribution that corresponds to the flash coverage to reduce excess power. The EF-60 supports TTL mode for automatically achieving optimal exposure, as well as manual mode, where the user can adjust the power manually. It also supports FP high-speed synchronization, allowing flash synchronization with a shutter speed of 1/8000 s, which is faster than a camera's flash sync speed. This provides greater freedom in flash photography, such as facilitating daylight synchronization at wide apertures.

  • PositiveThe power of the unit is also sufficient for demanding lighting tasks. With TTL control, you can rely on the automatic system without hesitation.
  • NegativeThe knurled adjustment wheel on the back of the flash unit makes a somewhat "wobbly", not very robust impression during operation.

With the EF-60, Fujifilm offers a powerful and flexible system flash unit that fits seamlessly into the product worlds of the X and GFX cameras.
