PETG is hydrophobic and does not absorb water. PET-G is a polyethylene terephthalate thermoplastic polyester and the most commonly used thermoplastic polymer resin in the polyester family. PET-G is ideal for producing transparent packaging and other products that require higher strength, impact resistance, and transparency.

The advantages of PET-G include high transparency, hydrophobicity, odorlessness, high durability, and print quality. The printing temperature ranges from 230-255°C. A heated bed temperature is not strictly necessary due to the low warping effect, but it is recommended to be around 55–80°C. The warping effect is extremely low.
