edimax GP-103IT

The Edimax GP-103IT is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector that provides a cost-effective solution for power distribution and enables seamless implementation into the existing LAN infrastructure. With power injectors, DC power up to 90 W according to the IEEE 802.3bt standard and data coming from a non-PoE switch or router are combined and then transmitted to remote IEEE 802.3af/at/bt-compliant products located without a power outlet via the Ethernet cabling. The simple plug-and-play GP-103IT Gigabit PoE++ injector protects the investment in hardware upgrades without the need to purchase additional PoE switches or run power cables.

By adding IEEE 802.3 af/at/bt Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability to a non-PoE Ethernet switch or router, the GP-103IT can connect directly to all IEEE 802.3af/at/bt end nodes, such as speed dome IP switches, speed dome IP switches, speed dome IP routers, and speed dome IP switches.Speed dome IP cameras, digital signage, colour touch screen VoIP phones, multi-channel WLAN access points, information kiosks, POS systems and thin clients that support the IEEE 802.3af/at/bt in-line PoE port.

The Power-over-Ethernet technology enables the Ethernet cable to transmit both data and power. Thus, the GP-103IT reduces the need for cable installation and eliminates the need for extension cables, power outlets, ceilings or other remote, inaccessible locations for PoE-enabled devices through simple plug-and-play installation. All in all, it lowers installation costs and simplifies deployment efforts.
