Product details

The DigiTech Whammy Ricochet is a compact pitch shifter effect pedal that delivers the iconic Whammy effect in a space-saving design. Instead of the traditional expression pedal found in classic Whammy models, the Ricochet uses a footswitch operation, resulting in significantly reduced dimensions while maintaining sound quality. This pitch-shifting device offers seven selectable pitch intervals for upward and downward shifts across a range of two octaves. The intuitive Ballistics control allows for precise adjustment of the speed of pitch transitions and the return to the original tone. Visual feedback is provided by an LED trajectory ladder display. The pedal features Classic and Chord modes for various playing applications with momentary or latching footswitch operation. True bypass circuitry is available in latching mode, ensuring clean signal integrity when the effect is off. With its red housing and compact dimensions of approximately 12 cm wide, 7 cm deep, and 5 cm high, the Ricochet preserves the legendary Whammy sound characteristics while enhancing portability and stage practicality. The construction emphasizes durability with a robust metal housing and reliable electronic components. This pitch shifter is specifically designed for electric guitar applications, offering guitarists comprehensive pitch manipulation capabilities in a streamlined format. The interface includes clear labeling and responsive knobs for easy handling during live performances or studio sessions. The power requirement is standard 9V DC operation, compatible with most pedalboard power supplies. The Ricochet represents an evolution of the Whammy concept, preserving the core pitch-shifting functionality while adapting the interface to modern pedalboard configurations and space-conscious setups.
