The Gravity NFC RFID Module from DFRobot uses an NXP PN532 chip. The PN532 is a highly integrated NFC communication controller that supports various types of NFC chip cards or NFC tags, as well as RFID cards like the MIFARE Classic Series and NTAG. The module features a large PCB antenna, allowing NFC chips to be read from a distance of up to 10 mm. When controlling the Gravity NFC RFID Module via the I2C interface, it can be easily used with various microcontrollers such as Arduino, micro:bit, FireBeetle ESP32, FireBeetle ESP8266, or Raspberry Pi. NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless technology that enables contactless point-to-point data communication between devices at a distance of about 10 mm. It is commonly used in applications such as access control systems, contactless payment systems, meal cards, and smartphone NFC applications.
