The Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6 powerline adapter is tested for its strong performance and generous features. In addition to a good transmission speed that remains stable even if there are disturbances in the power line, you get WLAN with the current Wi-Fi 6 standard. However, you can only use it partially, because in case of doubt, everything depends on the speed of the transmission in the power lines...
... At around 150 euros each, the new powerline APs are no bargain. But Devolo's Magic 2 Wi-Fi 6 pleases with its modernised WLAN, simple installation and cleverly implemented mesh functions. Anyone who wants to forward slow to medium-fast Internet access via the household power grid gets good value for money.
... In the practical test we received - on rather poor power lines - around 350 Mbit/s via Powerline, Wi-Fi 6 on 5GHz achieved throughputs of up to 680Mbit/s. Management is done via the "Home Network" app (Android and iOS) or via the desktop software "Devolo Cockpit" (Windows, MacOS, Linux)...
Devolo upgrades the Wi-Fi with the Magic 2 WiFi 6 - no Devolo has ever been faster! The powerline speed is top notch, but in testing it was a little more susceptible to interference than the Magic 2 WiFi Next (without Wifi 6).
