Upgrade your standard or small form factor computer with a serial RS-232 port via the PCI Express expansion slot.

With the PCI Express Serial Card PEX1S553LP, you can convert a PCI Express slot into a serial RS232 (DB9) port.

This card features a native single-chip design that allows you to take full advantage of PCI Express (PCIe) while reducing CPU load by up to 48% compared to traditional serial bridge chip cards.

The serial PCI Express RS232 adapter card is compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows and Linux Kernel 2.6.11 to 4.11.x, and comes with a pre-installed low-profile bracket. An optional full-profile bracket is also included, allowing you to add a serial port to virtually any computer, regardless of the case form factor.

This product is a replacement for our PEX1S552LP card.
