In 2016, Dell and EMC merged to form Dell Technologies, which primarily manufactures computers and storage solutions. The merger consisted of the seven leading technology providers Dell, Dell EMC, Pivotal, RSA, Secureworks, Virtustream and VMware and is aimed at driving the digital transformation and development of technology.

Dell's mission is to ensure that everyone in a company is securely connected, productive and able to work optimally together, anytime, anywhere. This equipment includes PCs, desktops, laptops or notebooks, 2-in-1 solutions and thin clients, workstations, ruggedized devices for specific environments, and monitor, docking and endpoint security solutions and services. Dell can also supply servers, printers, storage systems, smartphones or consumer electronics products (also known as "brown goods" such as televisions).
