D'Addario Half Rounds are round-wound strings made of stainless steel that are then polished smooth. This results in a soft and semi-flat surface. The outcome is a string with the tonal and tension characteristics of a round-wound string, but with a softer playing feel, similar to that of flatwounds. The polished surface reduces finger noise while maintaining the characteristics of round wound strings. Gauge: .010 .013 .017 .026 .036 .046.
