The CipherLab RS36 handheld terminal is a rugged mobile computer designed for demanding industrial and logistics applications. This device features a 4.3-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass for enhanced durability. Powered by an Android 11 operating system with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor and 4 GB of RAM, it delivers reliable performance for complex data capture tasks.

The RS36 includes both 1D and 2D barcode scanning capabilities with advanced imaging technology, supporting scanning distances of up to 15 meters for 1D codes and 0.5 to 10 meters for 2D codes. It features multiple connectivity options including dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and optional 4G LTE cellular connectivity for seamless data transmission.

The device is built to withstand harsh environments with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, capable of surviving drops from up to 1.8 meters onto concrete surfaces. It operates within a temperature range of -20 °C to 50 °C, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in various climate conditions.

The terminal measures 170 mm in height, 82 mm in width, and 33 mm in depth, with a weight of approximately 420 grams including the standard battery. It is equipped with a 3.85 V, 5050 mAh lithium-ion battery that provides extended operational time, supporting up to 14 hours of continuous scanning or 10 hours of mixed usage.

Additional features include an 8 MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP front camera, GPS with GLONASS and BeiDou support, and multiple sensor options including an accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor. The RS36 supports various mounting options and accessories, making it adaptable to different workflow requirements in warehouse management, retail inventory, field service, and transportation logistics applications.
