In addition to efficiency and user comfort, reducing ink waste to protect the environment is a key focus. These core points are combined in Canon's Single-Ink technology, which also delivers high-quality performance.

Therefore, each ink color has its own transparent and separately replaceable tank, as well as an integrated LED that alerts the user to a low ink level with a slow blink and to an empty tank with a fast blink. This ensures that users are always informed about the current ink status, even when printing photos without a PC. Another advantage is that the LED is also activated if a new ink tank is not correctly installed. When printing with a PC, a warning message automatically appears as soon as an ink color is running low or when the tank is empty.
