Product details

Active photography places high demands on cameras and lenses. It makes sense to protect the sensitive front lenses from flying sand, dust, fingerprints, or splashes with a B+W filter. B+W filters not only cost a fraction of the lens but are also easier to clean.

They can remain permanently in front of the lens, as they are completely color-neutral, offer high transparency, and are extremely low in reflections due to the MRC or MRC nano coating. The optical signal reaches the image sensor unaffected. With the extremely clear and highly transparent B+W protection filters, no extension factor needs to be considered.

In digital photography, protection filters play a particularly important role. A greater depth of field due to smaller sensors amplifies the impact of front lens contamination on image quality. Especially with zoom lenses that have lower light intensity, fingerprints can significantly reduce sharpness. However, frequent cleaning of the front lens can not only leave scratch marks but also transport dirt particles or moisture from the edge of the mount into the interior of the lens system.
