This cable is suitable for transmitting electrical signals over short distances and operates considering the respective transmission protocol. It is compatible with all common hardware platforms (such as switches, routers, storage systems, etc.) that officially support the original NetApp X1983-5-R6 10GBase-CR 5 Meter Direct Attach Cable. Each NetApp X1983-5-R6 compatible 10GBase-CR Direct Attach Cable supports Ethernet, FCoE, Fibre Channel, and InfiniBand applications.
