The Dept. 10 Boost is a tube boost pedal with an operating voltage of over 200V. By combining a Class-A gain stage with a passive James Baxandall EQ, the pedal can be used like two additional tube preamps in front of an amplifier. It can be utilized in front of a clean amplifier to increase volume, as an additional tone control, or as a dynamic tube overdrive. At lower boost settings, the clean sound is boosted, making an amplifier sound fuller and more dynamic. At higher boost settings, an amp begins to overdrive, becoming richer in harmonics and more compressed.
