Product details

Ultrafuse 316L has been designed for ultimate ease of use on conventional 3D printers with Fused Filament Fabrication. Ultrafuse 316L is an innovative filament for producing parts made from 316L stainless steel. The filament consists of 80% stainless steel and has a 20% polymer content, allowing for easy printing on many open FFF desktop printers.

Examples of applications with Ultrafuse 316L include:

  • Tool making
  • Jigs and fixtures
  • Series production
  • Functional parts and prototypes

A fully functional metal part is created through a three-step process of FFF printing, debinding, and sintering.

BASF Quality Control: The best available raw materials are selected from reputable suppliers. Production on state-of-the-art computer-controlled machines ensures truly consistent filament, even across colors and batches. It will perform as expected every time. All BASF products are 100% traceable back to the source.
