The naked elliptical stylus helps reduce the effective mass of the vibration system while providing improved frequency reproduction. Instead of a single large magnet, the two magnets are arranged in a V shape. The two magnets are positioned to align precisely with the positions of the left and right channels in the stereo groove walls. Consequently, the VM design ensures excellent channel separation, an extended frequency response, and outstanding tracking.
