Product details
The Yun for the breadboard features an Atmega 32u4 and QCA MIPS 24K SoC operating at 400 MHz.
The Arduino Yun can be plugged directly onto breadboards and works with an Atmega 32u4 MCU and a QCA MIPS 24K SoC with 400 MHz. The Qualcomm Atheros (QCA) CPU supports the Linux distribution Linino. The Yun Mini has onboard WiFi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n with up to 150 Mbps), 20 digital I/O pins, 7 of which are used as PWM outputs and 12 can be used as analog inputs. There is also a microUSB connector, an ICSP header, two reset buttons, and a programmable button on the board.
The Yun, similar to the Arduino Leonardo, has built-in USB communication, which eliminates the need for a second processor. This allows the Yun to emulate a keyboard or mouse on a PC or appear as a virtual COM interface as usual.
The bridge library simplifies communication between the two CPUs (Atmega 32u4 and Qualcomm MIPS SoC). With sketches, you can start shell scripts, communicate via WiFi, and receive information from the ARM processor. The USB host and WiFi are not directly connected to the Atmega, but thanks to the library, they can still be used.
