In normal systems, a standard expansion tank is usually sufficient to balance the occurring pressures. The products installed in a system are also pressure tested to at least 2 bar. However, for users who have many components integrated into their circuit, extreme temperature differences between idle and operating states can lead to very high pressures. In such cases, it is advisable to relieve this pressure through a pressure relief valve.

This pressure relief valve can easily be screwed into a T-piece and thus mounted at any point in the circuit. Some expansion tanks offer multiple openings where sealing caps are typically used; here, the valve can be installed. The 1/4" threaded connection is kept very short, only 4 mm, allowing for many other mounting locations in your water cooling system. The overall height of the valve, without the thread, is 16 mm, which also speaks to its versatile application. The seal located at the bottom provides additional safety to keep your system leak-proof. The valve allows for the release of overpressures from 0.3-0.4 kg/cm² or 4.3-5.7 psi.
