Product details

Battery-backed real-time clock (RTC) - so your microprocessor project always knows the time. The time is maintained thanks to the battery even without (mains) power.

The DS1307 used is the most well-known RTC and works great with 5V boards like the Arduino.

  • Package includes: PCB & header
  • Also fits breadboards
  • Example code and Arduino library available for download
  • Two mounting holes
  • Battery life of 5 years or more

The board is already fully assembled; only the headers need to be soldered if necessary.

The battery (CR1220) is not included and must be purchased separately.

Size:

  • Length: 25.8 mm / 1.02 in
  • Width: 21.07 mm / 0.85 in
  • Height: 5 mm / 0.2 in
  • Weight: 2.3 g / 0.09 oz
  • Mounting holes are 2.2 mm in diameter

P.S. While the 1307 is inexpensive, it is not highly precise - deviations of 2 seconds per day are possible. For a more accurate clock, please consider the DS3231 Precision RTC.
