Can the watch also be used without a mobile phone? So with an iPad or PC?
Good evening Gitschentaler. I've owned this watch since 20 September, the same evening I put it into operation. And what I have to say at the outset is that I am far from having tested all the features. However, I am already familiar enough with it (since this Thursday I have been using it full time. Work, leisure and for sleep detection (pulse detection always on)) to give you a probably plausible answer. This watch is mainly intended as a tool and aid for mainly Samsung devices. It is controlled on the smartphone or tablet with the Samsung Galaxy Wearable App and is also the only interface I know of that connects to this smartwatch. Therefore, as far as I know, it excludes the function with your iPad as you can only install this app on your iPad with great difficulty or only via the computer. The watch uses the Bluetooth connection to connect, so your computer should also have this function (antenna module). Otherwise, you should find a suitable adapter on the Internet to use the Watch with your computer. The Galaxy Wearable App is also necessary on the computer because otherwise the watch really only serves as a watch and is of little use to you. The only real option available to you for your PC or iPad is to install the Samsung Store on your computer, which has recently been given the name Galaxy Apps (coloured symbol with a white shopping bag), and to install the yellow app which has Wear written on it in white letters and is called Galaxy Wearables. So what is important for sure is Galaxy Wearables App and Bluetooth for sure first pairing important. What I have to ask you is what exactly do you need the Watch for? Listening to music, receiving notifications or other functions? That would be important for a more precise answer. And if you're talking about an iPad, there would be no question of an Apple Watch because otherwise the rights for the app would certainly not be given to Apple. So it's also possible that the app could no longer be on your iPad after a software update, I can well imagine. The watch can certainly be used without a mobile phone, just not as effectively as with an Android or Samsung phone, as it is intended as a supplement for these devices, for use without this device I also think that the watch is far too expensive and you might not be disappointed if something doesn't work. A quick word about my experience regarding the runtime, my watch lasted a good 2.5-3 days without charging with an active heart rate monitor and actual full-time connection with my Samsung Galaxy S7, which is completely OK for me. I hope I was able to help you a little bit and if you have any more questions, just get back to me and I'll answer them as soon as I can. Or hope that the rest of the community can help.
Is it possible to use the watch on mobile phones, e.g. 2 Samsung or 2 iPhone?
Thank you very much for the detailed answer. I want to use the watch mainly as a sports watch for hiking and jogging.
