I don't understand why you should buy an "ASUS GTX 1070 O8G" instead of an "ASUS GTX 1070 8G". Can't you just overclock the card yourself? Or are there other differences?

Helpful answer

O8G are 'higher binned', which means that the chips that can be detached higher are selected for it. With an O8G you have a higher guaranteed clock speed.

I asked myself the same question all the time. Then I found out on the internet that it's no problem to overclock yourself and save a bit of money.
