Velux App Control
I only use the Velux app for setup, I can't say anything about the automation functions or similar.
The fact that the app only accepts a WLAN connected via 2.4 GHz is a little annoying, but not really a problem. If you have a WLAN that is available via both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz, the configuration is rejected if the smartphone is connected via 5 GHz. However, this can easily be solved by moving a little further away from the access point, then the smartphone will switch to the 2.4 GHz band and the Velux app will be happy.
After the initial setup, this is no longer a problem.
You can then set up the devices to be controlled in the gateway using the Velux app. The gateway, in turn, is recognised by Home Assistant and the connected devices are set up directly. Unfortunately, the designations made in the Velux gateway are not automatically transferred to Home Assistant, i.e. you then have to know/find out again which Home Assistant device is which and rename it, but then everything works.

Hello, a question about this. Have you also integrated roof windows into Home Assistant? If so, can you also control a specific position directly? So open 30%.
