Even under the toughest conditions, the intercom remains stable and does not disconnect. In "Private Mode," the Sena 30K allows communication among up to 16 participants (1+15) over a total range of up to 2 kilometers. In "Public Mode," an unlimited number of participants can listen in but cannot respond. This is ideal for larger rides in motorcycle clubs, for example. Note: All 16 participants must have a Sena 30K. Mixing the 30K with other Sena models reduces the intercom participants to a maximum of 4. If you want to join a group of friends who are already using a Sena 20S or 20S EVO, it is advisable to also choose a 20S. However, if a friendly couple or a buddy is already using a 10S/10U/10R/10C (EVO), you can confidently choose a 30K (or any device from the 10 series), as these devices only support up to 4 participants. Note: Again, all participants must be using the Sena 30K.
