Wired up for a six-pack # Week 2

The goal is set: A six-pack in six weeks. The path leading there? Stony, I’d say. I’m plagued by backache and am currently more dedicated to Netflix than deadlifts.
Lumbago sucks. That's for sure. Only toothache sucks even more. For now, there’s not much else I can do than avoid the gym. Even running is painful. I can do the odd push-up or the plank. But that’s it.
But I haven’t abandoned my Compex challenge. It’s been three times this week that I let it all wibble and wobble.

Before / Now

I realise the angle isn’t the same. Nor the light. Nonetheless, I still can’t see a difference. Can you? Note to self: Belly selfies should always be taken under the same conditions.
Miracle cure
One of the features of the Compex SP 8.0 WOD Edition is called «Lumbago». I try it immediately.

During these last few days I’ve been taking painkillers, applying creams and heat plasters. But they haven’t stopped me from hobbling around. And now? A twenty-minute Compex session and my backache has almost disappeared entirely. This, I did not expect. Having said that, it could be a coincidence, luck or that last Voltaren tablet kicking in.
From sceptic to disciple?
I’m sure it was a coincidence. It must have been, right? What if it wasn’t? Then I have the cure for any future lumbago. But thankfully, I’m not dealing with another wave of lower back pain right now. Besides, I’m on a «six-pack in six weeks» mission! However, after my lumbago experience, I’m a lot more optimistic now.
