Trigger warning: jeans are getting longer and longer in autumn
The fashion industry has once again come up with a trend that will polarise opinion. What do you think of trousers with an integrated trip hazard?
Do you like to get upset about fashion extremes? Extremely low-rise trousers, extremely oversized shoulders, extremely small pockets? If so, you can brush up on your vocabulary for the coming autumn and winter. Because: trend fanatics will be strolling through the world in jeans that will probably drive you up the wall.
Long, longer, trend alert
The pinnacle of extra-long extravagance so far was shown by Sofie Axters, a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy, at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The legs of her artfully bleached jeans split above the ankles and flow behind the wearer to form a veritable train. Practical? Definitely not. An eye-catcher? Guaranteed.
It remains to be seen whether this trend will reach Hell-On-Hood proportions again. You can probably find reasons to be upset even at this stage, right?
