Trainers made in the home of running champions

Kenya isn’t only where many world-class runners come from, it’s also home to entrepreneurs who incorporate the know-how of professional runners in their business ideas.
For entrepreneur Navalayo Osembo-Ombati, sustainability isn’t only important in terms of raw materials, but also in terms of people. «We’re home to the best runners in the world and have the chance to use their know-how in the local development and production. After all, winter sports products are also developed where there’s snow,» she says in our conversation at her stand at the trade show ISPO in Munich.
«Enda» shoes are 100% produced in Kenya. This creates jobs and drives the economic development in a sustainable way. The African roots are also reflected in the design of the shoes: the Enda logo shows the spear from the Kenyan national flag.
