Three alternatives to chunky garden lounges
by Pia Seidel
Have you always wanted to float on a cloud? With the hanging tent from Tiipii, you're a little closer to realising this wish. Even if you're afraid of heights.
As a child in the eighties, I was influenced by films by Walt Disney. First, I wanted fins like "Ariel the Mermaid" and a short time later, I had to have a flying carpet because of "Aladdin". As a toddler, I didn't realise that I was almost driving my parents to the brink of despair with my carpet wish. Of course, I never got the flying object of my desire. That's why I'm ogling the hanging beds from Tiipii, which come close to my childhood wish. [[product:10634853]]
The suspended beds from the Australian brand Tiipii are not only pretty, but also comfortable. Assembly and disassembly takes less than five minutes. Then it's time to relax. Sun worshippers get their money's worth by removing the cover. Those who don't like being bitten by mosquitoes can use the mosquito net, which is included in the scope of delivery. And because the canvas is washable and mould-resistant, you can even leave it outside in the rain.
Since I don't have a garden or a large terrace, I want to buy the "Nester" model for my living room. I've always dreamed of a floating reading corner. The whole thing becomes really cosy with decorative cushions and a faux fur blanket. The highlight: you don't necessarily need a solid ceiling, beams or trees to set it up, but this Tiipii frame. I, for one, am already dreaming of tropical nights. That's when I'll be spending the night in my "Tiipii" - assuming I own a house with a garden by then. A little tip: When buying, make sure you buy one of the sets if you want the complete hanging tent. Alternatively, you can also just buy the individual parts or buy them separately if required.
