Seven days of rain was the motto of this year’s New York Fashion Week. Why? It was raining cats and dogs. Not the ideal conditions for the big showdown that took place before this year’s collections were presented, as the presentation on the streets has become just as – if not even more – important than the actual runway show. Only those who stand out with their choice of fashion have the chance to appear on the blog of a street style photographer or in a magazine. That's why a huge amount of planning goes into each and every outfit. Too bad if it’s raining on the day and nobody’s expecting it. That’s exactly what happened at this year’s New York Fashion Week. A quick and simple solution was needed: A transparent umbrella, which goes with every look, but doesn’t steal the show from the actual show. Finally, an it piece that everyone can afford.

If you need free hands or if the wind is howling over your head like a hurricane – the duo of rain and wind have cost me a few umbrellas – I advise you to get a transparent jacket instead.
