The entry-level eReader Kobo Clara HD

Sit down in the tram, open, read, bookmark, close, leave the tram. Eight pages read, giving the brain a good start to the day. Time to read more.
The Kobo Clara HD from Rakuten was released today at 3pm. Kobo is launching a new eReader for beginners on the market. The handy 6" inch bookshelf of your Gusto paves the way to a 5,000,000 book universe. No matter where you want to read in the future, you can take up to 6,000 books with you in the form of 166 grams.

Read more, watch less
The average Swiss person watches 122 minutes of television a day. Quite a lot when you think about it. But the days usually seem too short to sit in front of the telly. If you look around on public transport, the majority of people are staring at their smartphones. Whether they are reading or watching videos and clips remains to be seen. But eReaders are also hidden among this mass. The latter term could possibly be made up.
Right on the market
The Kobo Clara HD has been on sale since today. The eReader for beginners with solid cornerstones and a very interesting eBook shop that should not be underestimated. Here, the newly-ignited bookworm can delve into German, English, French and Italian literature. Interesting fact: the Kobo eBook Shop is the one that competes most with Amazon for English books. If you have 58 years to read and on average read a book with 300 pages, then you could reach the limits of the 5,000,000 books in the Kobo library. Challenge accepted?

Quick and Dirty
Released today and available to pre-order from us. The latest eReader from Kobo will be available from 5 June 2018, with the following technical features:
- 166g light and handy
- 8GB of storage space, which corresponds to around 6,000 books
- High-resolution 6-inch screen. Read like on paper.
- With ComfortLight PRO, the Kobo Clara HD offers the best reading light, day or night, outdoors or indoors. All completely automatic.
A different cover for a change
Sleep covers are already familiar with eReaders. When the cover is closed, the reader goes into standby mode, and when the cover is opened, the device is brought back to life. Flip covers are somewhat rarer and allow a stand to be folded through the cover. This makes hands-free reading possible. You can either place the eReader on your stomach or have it on a table in front of you. The flip cover is available in three colours.
